The city of Chanhassen is excited to announce that MetroNet will be bringing their fiber optic infrastructure to the community. This is a major step for the city of Chanhassen and will bring it into the 21st century.

“We at MetroNet are excited to announce that we are beginning construction on a fiber optic network in the city of Chanhassen.” The first several months of this process will involve building a new fiber optic “backbone” or conduit system. This backbone will be buried throughout the city, and will serve as the communication pathway for all of our services.
The backbone is expected to be deployed within 18 months, but the actual time frame depends on a number of factors.
